(More customer reviews)I have been thrilled with the heft and quality of the Le Creuset poterie line - and this is no exception. After years of trial and error I have found this to be the perfect pan for my lasagna. I like to make BIG batches of lasagna, and this pan lets me feed an army. The color and finish are flawless and that famous Le Creuset non-stick ability is in full force here. Even after baking a big lasagna in it, washing this thing by hand is a piece of cake!

So, to sum up: Its large, it looks great, it cooks evenly, and it is very easy to clean after use. All of that for a pretty good price too! Highly recommended!

(More customer reviews)Open your box immediately to check for damage! I was excited about having a gorgeous blue enamel covered cast iron lasagna pan for an upcoming group dinner. What a lovely way to present the main course. Unfortunately, the pan arrived with a huge chip in the interior white enamel on an upper corner and I had to return it to amazon. Then came the endless e-mails about whether to reship or refund. I kept telling them I wanted to try again...receive an intact pan. Amazon simply couldn't understand that request and, after several weeks, refunded the money. I ended up buying a plain ole stainless steel lasagna pan instead. At least it can't chip!

(More customer reviews)This pan was defective so I returned it, thank you Amazon for paying the postage.The first time I used the pan I oiled it, but noticed that my piece of paper towel turned black.I washed the pan again, oiled it again, more black.I discovered that the lengthwise seam along the raised section of the bottom of the pan was open - I could catch it with my fingernail, and the black was coming from this seam.Later I stopped by Macy's and looked at the same pan and discovered the same open seam.It looks like Cuisinart is selling a defective item on a large scale.

All-Clad Stainless French Oven Review

(More customer reviews)Because I am an All-Clad fan, and I own and use more All-Clad pieces than I really can afford, I feel like a traitor as I begin to write this.I wish I could return-for-refund my copy of this very pricey All-Clad "French Oven" (not purchased from amazon.com).For my needs, my two Le Creuset oval ovens and one Le Creuset round "buffet casserole" do the (French / Dutch) "oven" thing better, cheaper, and more beautifully.Cast iron, although not as physically tough as stainless steel, really does hold the heat much better, plus it works with induction, just in case you have induction (I do not) and you need to use the "oven" on the stove-top; this All-Clad oven bottom is non-magnetic.Le Creuset uses cast iron for the cover as well as for the bottom, unlike this All-Clad piece, which has the plain stainless steel (non-clad) cover, which I think compromises the "oven" concept of all-encompassing uniform heat.My All-Clad oven's wire rack (a plus over Le Creuset, which has none) is totally flat, and it hugs the rounded contours so snugly that the little bent-wire legs do not even touch the bottom of the pan, so the rack is not totally stable.A bed of mirepoix or potatos or such vegetables would perform better than this rack unless you are going for enclosed dry roasting of poultry, which really needs a non-flat rack, one that can hold the bird in the desired position.This oven's bottom pan is too deep to double as a roasting pan unless you can find a V-rack that will properly fit this pan.Also without its cover, the pan likely could be used for baking lasagna, but I think that the top of the food would be too far below the top of the pan for proper browning.Now, it is just barely possible that I somehow am not getting the point of this All-Clad "French Oven".(I understand All-Clad's attractive "Dutch Oven" OK, but cast iron really is the more appropriate material for the task.)In any case, I am hoping that someone from All-Clad will read this, take pity on me, and wave their magic wand, absolving me of my treachery, and take back their piece so that I then can put that money into other All-Clad items that I (really, truly do) need.

(More customer reviews)I love making lasagna and shepard's pie in this pan and it's able to house a decent size turkey for the holidays! Spatula utensil and flat rack are nice extras. The one setback: it doesn't do so well if you try to seer meat on the stovetop as you need a thicker, more expensive pan for that. This mirror finish pan is also a breeze to clean. I was impressed by a recent purchases of a Norpro stainless pie pan so I hunted around for this roaster/lasagna pan on Amazon. It must be a well kept secret because Norpro's pan doesn't just automatically pop up, you have to really look through many Norpro products to find it.

I researched many pans including lasagna pans that probably won't fit in my oven due to the handle span. Compared to the Progressive International Stainless pan, this one blows it out of the water for only a few bucks more. Norpro makes the Progressive International pan feel like a flimsy lightweight. Having a smallish city dweller oven (16-1/4" long) it's a challengeto find many stainless steel pans that let me close the oven door, let alone a decent quality one at a great price.What more could I ask for but for a larger apt and oven?

(More customer reviews)I really like cast iron pans, so thought this would be great for lasagna and it is, but the size of this thing weighs a ton, especially when loaded with lasagna, which is heavy anyway. If you use this thing in the oven, you'd best have some pretty heavy-duty oven racks and some arm muscles to wrestle it in and out of the oven!

In my Mom's brand new Maytag Neptune stove the oven rack flexed, but didn't permanently bend the rack. A lesser oven rack would, undoubtedly, be permanently damaged.

The pan was so heavy loaded with lasagna neither my Mom nor I could get it into or out of the oven. Had to have my husband do it. I wouldn't advise putting it onto a dishwasher rack!

Clean-up was great...nothing stuck to it and washing was easy except for hefting it over to rinse.

I think I'd best look for a cermaic version of this same size pan.

I am a keen cook and I don't expect to spend this much on an so-called "quality" item only for it to warp and buckle after two uses under normal conditions.

(More customer reviews)I received this roaster as a housewarming gift by our realtor several years ago.Although I knew it was a very nice gift, I'd never priced it until a friend asked for a recommendation on a roaster for a Thanksgiving turkey.I was really not terribly surprised at the price since I've used the roaster over and over and it still looks brand new, but I did have a renewed gratefulness for the gift!This roaster is very heavy, and with the deep lid, is also extremely versatile.I was a little concerned about food sticking, since I'd been raised using non-stick cookware, however, I was so pleased with the results that I no longer own non-stick cookware at all.Every roast, bird, or casserole I've made in this roaster has turned out beautifully.This is one item in my kitchen that I am certain will be passed down to my grandchildren some day.

(More customer reviews)I've been looking for a roaster/broiling pan.Heavy enough not to warp under high heat.Not non-stick since I want to deglaze the pan for sauces.DW safe - my husband puts everything in the DW or it doesn't get washed!AND a conductive bottom surface for even heating and use on the stove top during deglazing.

I looked at the much more expensive All-Clad Roti BUT the handles were at a fixed height - too tall for close positioning next to my broiler.The handles of the multi-pan fold down.

Even if it weren't on sale, it's a fraction of the cost of the All Clad, meets all of my needs and my family's lack of care . . . this is perfect!!!

Progressive International Stainless Steel Roasting Pan Review

(More customer reviews)This is the deepest lasagna pan I have been able to find, and that is why I bought it.I have owned it several years, but I don't bake or roast often.It has worked adequately.I have gotten my money's worth.

Because it is stainless steel, it feels lightweight.It is not made of thick metal, and therefore feels just a little cheap. Gourmet cooks might sneer at it.

Being stainless steel, it shows no signs of rust, even at the handles, after soaking in the kitchen sink. The exterior still looks nice.The interior does not have any kind of non-stick coating.

The spatula/turner/flipper utensil, which comes with the pan, has been very useful.It is thin enough to slide under food to be turned over in a skillet.It is a little flexible, but not extremely flexible like some wimpy spatulas. It won't flex, wiggle, and collapse while carrying something heavy like say a thick pork chop. I use the spatula very frequently.It is thin enough to slide under fresh-baked soft cookies, to remove them from a pan, without making a mess of the cookies.

The rack can be put inside the pan, and fits nicely, for use when roasting meat.The rack is not very high, so it would not be adequate for roasting something extremely high in fat, such as a goose, that would result in a deep layer of melted fat in the bottom of the pan.

The rack can also be used as a cooling rack for baked goods, although not intended as such. The wires are not spaced as close together as the ideal cooling rack, thus small cookies may fall through.
